Achilles' heel.

I dance like I've got diamonds
at the meeting of my thighs.
-Maya Angelou-

Whenever it rains
it rains the delirium of my stride nearing yours.
And whenever I talk
I talk dirty and I talk dross.
Yet I dance
like I've got diamonds at the meeting of my thighs.

Whenever I stop
I stop to amend the urges that won't cauterize.
And whenever I choke
I choke on clay etching my words.
Yet I dance
like I've got diamonds at the meeting of my thighs.

The things that keep us apart keep me inert.
The things that keep me alive keep me alone.

I have no inclination for anyone in sight.
So I dance
like you touched diamonds at the meeting of my thighs.

Paula Sanz.

  1. Estoy pensando q traducido este poema al español no quedaría ni la mitad de bonito. Imagínate: bailo como si hubieses tocado diamantes. Qué rabia pensar que tu lengua desmerecería un poema!
